About
The name Bee House LLC is inspired by the memory of my beloved sister, Gretchen, affectionately known as "Bee." Her beautiful art was often inspired by the nature that surrounded her and beyond and she enjoyed learning about and being in nature and gardens. At Bee House LLC, we embody her strength and resilience in the face of adversity and we strive to create spaces for people & planet that allow healing & joy via hope, beauty, biodiversity & love.
Mission
Bee House LLC boldly designs spaces to include native plants along with kitchen gardens to nurture beauty & joy, compost, sequester carbon, conserve water & energy, and provide food & habitat for wildlife, pollinators and humans simply.
Passion
I have a passion for bringing nature to people of all ages and walks of life because of its sheer transformative power, especially the magical beauty of incorporating native plants, flowers and Kitchen gardens. I have a Bachelors of Science in Biology & Chemistry and have taught formally as an educator for 26 years in multiple disciplines including Horticulture, STEM, Production Enterprises, Art, Culinary, and more with people of all ages and abilities as well as installed gardens at residential treatment facilities and schools.

I previously served as a Texas Master Gardener with Fort Bend County in Texas for 10 years including helping to begin the Plants in the Classroom program in Fort Bend County. This was a dream come true for me to help bring this vital teaching tool to life in Texas classrooms because my fourth grade teacher in upstate New York opened the world of plant caring for me as a way to keep me growing & learning beyond the completed paper lessons in the classroom and my high school Science teacher in Louisiana brought the world of birding to life for me with in-class visits from the local zoo's wildlife biologist. Additionally, my family has loved nature, flowers, birds, pollinators, wildlife, and rocks & minerals my whole life and their gift of time in nature with me has brought me so much joy and I hope to do the same for others of all ages.​
